Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using HireFloat ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

HireFloat is a comprehensive recruitment platform that allows employers and recruiters to:

• Collect professional references from job candidates
• Send automated questionnaires to references
• Generate comprehensive PDF reports
• Manage and track reference check status
• Schedule and manage candidate interviews
• Create calendar events for interviews with video meeting links
• Integrate with video conferencing platforms (Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
• Send calendar invitations to interview participants
• Track interview scheduling and feedback

3. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms.

You are responsible for safeguarding your account password and for any activities or actions under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
• Collect or store personal data about other users without their consent
• Transmit any viruses, malware, or other malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use automated means to access the Service without permission

5. User Content

You retain all rights to the content you submit to the Service ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a license to use, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting or publishing it. You represent that you have all necessary rights to the User Content.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Calendar Integration and Video Meetings

7.1 Third-Party Calendar Access

To use interview scheduling features, you may choose to connect your calendar through third-party providers (Google Calendar, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams). By connecting these services:

• You authorize HireFloat to access your calendar data as described in our Privacy Policy
• You grant us permission to create, read, and update calendar events on your behalf
• You grant us permission to generate video meeting links through your connected provider
• You understand that we will store encrypted OAuth tokens to maintain this connection

7.2 Calendar Event Management

When you use interview scheduling features:

• Calendar events will be created in your connected calendar automatically
• Calendar invitations will be sent to interview participants (HR, candidates, interviewers) when candidates book interview slots
• You remain the organizer of all calendar events created through our Service
• You can manage, modify, or delete calendar events directly through your calendar provider
• Deleting an interview in HireFloat does not automatically delete the associated calendar event

7.3 Video Meeting Links

When you enable auto-generation of meeting links, HireFloat will create video conference links through your connected provider (Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams). You acknowledge that:

• Meeting links are generated and hosted by third-party providers, not by HireFloat
• These third-party services have their own terms of service and privacy policies
• HireFloat is not responsible for the availability, quality, or security of third-party video conferencing services
• You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate licenses/subscriptions with these providers

7.4 Disconnecting Calendar Integration

You may disconnect your calendar integration at any time through:

• Our Settings page within HireFloat
• Your calendar provider's app permissions settings (Google, Zoom, or Microsoft account settings)

Disconnecting will prevent future calendar event creation but will not affect existing calendar events or meetings that have already been scheduled.

7.5 Calendar Data Accuracy

While we strive to maintain accurate calendar synchronization, you acknowledge that calendar availability and event data may occasionally be inaccurate due to synchronization delays, third-party service outages, or other technical issues. You are responsible for verifying interview schedules and calendar events.

8. Subscription and Payment

Some aspects of the Service may be provided for a fee. You agree to pay all fees associated with your account. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to change our fees at any time. Notice of fee changes will be provided at least 30 days in advance.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall HireFloat, its directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HireFloat and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
